Safety Tip: If you find yourself in a emergency situation and need to call 999 but have no (or low) mobile phone signal you may be able to get through using a text message if the call fails.
You must register in advance to do this. Just text the word register to 999 and they will text you back. Read the terms and reply with the word yes. It might just save your life!
